Milton Thomas Havens

Milton Thomas Havens, 82, of Vine Grove, KY passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Signature Healthcare, Elizabethtown, KY.

Milton was born May 11, 1939 in Camden, New Jersey. Mr. Havens was a veteran of the United States Army who had been stationed in Germany and Fort Knox, KY where he met the love of his life, Willa Mae Witten and proposed to her by the chicken coop on the family farm. After leaving the army he enjoyed working at the Dollar Store in Vine Grove because he enjoyed meeting new people and seeing old friends. Mr. & Mrs. Havens were blessed to be married for fifty one years and they enjoyed traveling together. Mr. Havens was a charter member of Valley View Baptist Church, Vine Grove, KY.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Willa Mae Havens; his parents, Raymond E. & Marie Flinn Havens; one brother, Raymond E. Havens; and his half brother, Richard R. Havens.

Survivors include: three sister in laws, Sylvia Havens of England, Gail Witten of Vine Grove, KY, Betty Amos of Radcliff, KY; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family in England & friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Wednesday, September 15, 2021 and from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 16 at  Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Mr. Havens will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY with Dr. Shawn Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Vine Grove Cemetery.
