Mona (Shoff) Vinton

Mona Vinton, 91, of Vine Grove, KY, a beacon of selflessness and gentleness, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 7, 2023, in Radcliff, Kentucky. Born on Monday, October 22, 1931, in West Charleston, Vermont, Mona lived a life filled with love, joy, and creativity.

Mona was a woman of many talents and interests. She and her husband enjoyed country western square dancing, a hobby that brought them endless joy and countless friendships. Mona's love for crafting was another testament to her creativity. She had a knack for creating beautiful pieces from the simplest of materials.

Mona was a devoted wife to her husband of 71 years, Bob Vinton, of Vine Grove, Kentucky. Their love story was one of resilience and dedication. Together, they built a beautiful life, raising their three sons, Roderick "Rod" Vinton (Glynda), Kent Vinton (Karen) of Stephensburg, Kentucky, and Terry Vinton (Barbara) of Rineyville, Kentucky.

Mona was the proud grandmother of nine, great-grandmother of twelve, and great-great-grandmother of one. Her family was the center of her world. She loved nothing more than to be surrounded by her loved ones, sharing stories, laughter, and love. Her selfless nature and gentle spirit were a comfort to all who knew her.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Friday, August 11, 2023 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Mrs. Vinton will be held at 7:00 PM, Friday, August 11, 2023 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM, Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.
