Nathan Hunter Obituary

“MSG Nathan Richard Hunter, 36, of Fort Knox, KY passed away Friday, December 31, 2021 at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center, Louisville, KY.

MSG Hunter was currently serving in the United States Army.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rachel Hunter, and adored four children, Aelah Hunter (12), Kimber Hunter (9), Ryleigh Hunter (6), and Uriah Hunter (4); his parents, Craig & Teresa Hunter; two brothers, Joshua Hunter (Sam), Dustin Hunter; and a host of extended family & friends.

Nathan, a follower of Christ, had a quiet, but firm faith. Family, friends, and strangers alike could see this in his daily life.

Nathan loved his family and spent his time pouring into his wife and children. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing with his children. Nathans hobbies included going to the gym, detailing cars, and he took pride in caring for his lawn. Neighbors lovingly and jokingly referred to him as “lawnmower man.”

He was well known for his “dad jokes” by his students at the Recruiting and Retention College, and he often used the phrase “What are we doin’ here?” to crack a joke when something was amiss.

There will be a memorial service to celebrate MSG Hunters life at Redemption Church, 8605 Salisbury road, Monclova, OH, 43542 on 29 January 2022 at 11:00am, followed by full Military Honors.”
