Raymond L. Long

SGM Raymond L. Long, 78, of Radcliff, KY passed away Monday, July 15, 2024 at his residence.

Mr. Long was a veteran of the Vietnam War and retired from the United States Army with 29 years of service.

He was was preceded in death by his father, William J. Long; his mother, Mildred Joe Derks; His stepfather Lynn Derks; two brothers, Bobby Long, Keith Derks; and a sister, Marilyn Gunther.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Karin "Terry" Long; one daughter, Jo Ann Campbell (Dwayne); three grandchildren, Victoria Poff (Michael), Jessica McNally, and Shawn Campbell; one great grandson, Greyson Poff; two brothers, James D. Long (Rosemarie), Tracy Derks (Barbara); one sister, Helga Derks and her two children, Linda and Robbie; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family & friends.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM, Monday, July 22, 2024 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Mr. Long will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, July 22, 2024 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY. Burial with military honors will follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.
