Richard Eugene Patterson

Richard Eugene Patterson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2023, in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Born on April 13, 1948, in Paducah, Kentucky, Richard lived a full and meaningful life, marked by selflessness, kindness, and a friendly demeanor that endeared him to all who knew him.

Richard’s patriotism led him to join the United States Navy, where he served with honor and distinction. After his military service, Richard embarked on a successful career in HVAC as a self-employed professional. His dedication to his craft and his unwavering commitment to providing the best service possible earned him the respect of his clients and and fellow peers.

Richard's professional achievements were only surpassed by his devotion to his family. He was a loving husband to his wife, Cynthia Patterson of Rineyville, KY, and a devoted father to his children: Richard Patterson Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA, Michael Patterson, Michael Molash of Bemidji, Minnesota, Tabitha Snyder of Moyock, North Carolina, Lisa Marie Patterson of Virginia Beach, VA, and Kimberly Patterson of Virginia Beach, VA. He was a doting grandfather to six grandchildren: Derek Patterson, Caleb Patterson, Nyobi Patterson, Avery Wass, Adrian Oliver, and Max Caruthers.

Cremation was chosen by the family.
