Robert Earl Ashley

Air Force (RET) Tech SGT, Robert Earl Ashley, 86, of Radcliff, KY passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at his residence.

Mr. Ashley was retired from the United States Air Force and Civil Service, Fort Knox, KY. His memberships include: North Hardin Christian Church, Radcliff, KY and he had attended Radcliff United Methodist Church. He was also a graduate of Vine Grove High School class of 1953.

Mr. Ashley was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Jones Ashley; his parents, Rev. E. Ashley & Cordelia Wesley Ashley; one grandson, Charles Arthur Kruger, Jr.; five siblings, Thomas Ashley, John Ashley, Orpha Allen, Grace Manley, Lou Hatcher; one son in law, Charles Arthur Kruger.  

Survivors include:
Four children, Cindy Finney (Joe) of Radcliff KY, Tim Ashley (Lynn) of Vine Grove, KY, Julie Kruger of Radcliff, KY, Laurie Ashley (John Masterson); eighteen grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; one brother, Charles Ashley; one sister, Pauline Lee; a close family friend, Carol Smith; and a host of extended family members & friends.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM, Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Mr. Ashley will be held at 12:00 PM, Thursday, November 19, 2020 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY with Brother Ben Underhill officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Hosparus of Central Kentucky, Alzheimer's Foundation, or any favorite veteran's charity of choice.
