Robert C. Atcher

Robert C. “Bob” Atcher, 81, of Vine Grove, KY, died Thursday , October 26, 2023 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY. 

He was a 1960 graduate of Vine Grove High School where he was a four sport athlete. Bob continued his love of sports by coaching Little League baseball and basketball in Radcliff for many years. Bob also served in the U.S. Army National Guard during Vietnam War. He was inducted as a Foundational Member of Vine Grove High School during the North Hardin Athletic Hall of Fame in 2019. Bob was a member of Valley View Baptist Church. He retired from the Brandenburg Telephone Company after 44 years of service in 2004.  

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Faye Atcher; his parents, Andrew and Grace Atcher; brothers, Gerald Atcher, Nolte Atcher, Don Atcher and Gene Atcher; a sister, Charlene Nall and infant siblings, Alice Marie Atcher and James Richard Atcher. 

He is survived by his daughter, Tanya Corder (Chris) of Vine Grove and his son, Neil Atcher (Mary Donna) of Elizabethtown;  a sister, Patsy Gerkins of Ekron; and five grandchildren, Drew Corder, Emma Corder, Addie Atcher, Sadie Atcher and Whitley Atcher. 

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM, Sunday, October 29, 2023 and from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Monday, October 30, 2023 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

The funeral service for Mr. Atcher will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, October 30, 2023 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY. Burial will be in the North Hardin Memorial Gardens in Radcliff, KY.
