1SG (Ret) Robert “Boo Boo” Rink, 71, of Rineyville, KY, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025 at Baptist Health Hardin, Elizabethtown, KY.

Having retired from the United States Army, 1SG Rink dedicated 22 years of his life to serving his country, including deployments in Germany, Korea and the pivotal Desert Storm & Desert Shield operations. Robert was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and the patience of fishing. He was not a man confined by a single passion, he cultivated an impressive collection of bourbons, a love for drag racing, ziplining and crusing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Liz Rink; and a brother in law, Jon Stilwell.

1SG (Ret) Rink is survived by his wife of 52 years, Paula Rink; two sons, Tim Rink (Rebecca), Ryan Rink; three grandchildren, Nate, Landon, Lance; two sisters, Irene Stilwell, Sue Lipscomb (Ray); one brother, Mike LaRue; and a host of extended family & friends.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, May 9, 2025 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.
