Robert “Bob” William Vinton, 94, of Vine Grove, KY passed away Monday, June 22, 2026 at Baptist Health Hardin.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Mona Vinton; his parents; and a brother, Tug Vinton.

He is survived by three sons, Roderick “Rod” Vinton (Glynda), Kent Vinton (Karen), Terry Vinton (Barbara); nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Bob was a courageous and selfless man whose life reflected duty, devotion, and quiet strength.  He was retired from the United States Army, where he served in the Korean Conflict and in the Vietnam War. Outside of his service, Bob valued the time he spent with his family.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Friday, June 26, 2026, at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, Kentucky.  

Funeral services for Mr. Vinton will be held at 7:00 PM, Friday, June 26, 2026 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home 

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
