Sandra Kay “Sandy” Phillips, 60, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away Monday, September 30, 2024 at UofL Health-Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.

Sandy was a proud alumna of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University where she skillfully piloted Cessna planes but her time flying was cut short in 2009 due to health challenges. Beyond her professional pursuits, Sandy's interests were the simple pleasures of life. She found great joy in the timeless thrills of old Universal monster movies but the most cherished aspect of Sandy's life was the time she spent with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer Eugene & Irma Jean Phillips.

Ms. Phillips is survived by three children, William Clift II & his wife, Christa, Claire Clift & her husband, Zach Whelan, Jacob Phillips & his wife, Ashley; six grandchildren, Chloe, Elly, Marcie, Nora, Noah, Milly; two siblings, Claudie Phillips, Arlene Golladay & her husband, Tony; and a host of extended family & friends.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, October 11, 2024 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
