Scott Hofstra, 60, of Vine Grove, KY was called to his heavenly home suddenly Monday morning.
He graduated from Holt High School and the Aviation Maintenance Technology Program at Lansing Community College. He was a Retired Firefighter/EMT and Chief Engineer from the Lebanon Ohio Fire Department. A former Master Aircraft Systems Instructor at (Airborne Express) ABX Air Inc. (1998-2002) before moving his family to Kentucky in 02' to start a 20 year career with UPS in Louisville, KY as a Master Aircraft Systems Instructor. Then was a Supervisor in the Aircraft Maintenance Control Department. He was also the Spokesperson for the United Kentucky Tea Party (2013-2022), the Chairman for the Central Kentucky Tea Party Patriots Group (2014-2022) and was the Head of the Hardin County Kentucky Tea Party group. He was married to his Soulmate Amy for 35 amazing years. He was a man of Strong Faith and Integrity and a True American Patriot, Hero, Leader, Mentor, Scholar of Politics and Friend to all (No Matter Who You Vote For). He was a Son, Nephew, Brother, Uncle, Husband, Father, and Grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Shirlee Hofstra; and his oldest daughter, Elizabeth Hofstra.
He is survived by his wife, Amy; one daughter, Mary (Hofstra) Stanbrough; one son, Michael Hofstra; a daughter-in-law, Rachel Hofstra; a son-in-law, William Stanbrough; three granddaughters Abby Stanbrough, Emberly Stanbrough, Anthem Grace Hofstra; his father, Harry Hofstra; two brothers, John, Christopher; one sister, Tami; and a host of extended family and many friends. Although he is gone, he would still want us to keep fighting to make Kentucky and our Great Nation better for future generations to come! We will not say Goodbye, But See You Later!
Visitation will be from 5:30 PM until 8:30 PM, Friday, January 14, 2022 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY and from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Mill Creek Baptist Church, 1182 Jones Street, Radcliff, KY 40160.
Funeral services for Mr. Hofstra will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Mill Creek Baptist Church, 1182 Jones Street, Radcliff, KY 40160 with Pastor Faron Knopp officiating.
