Smitty Ford

Howard S. “Smitty” Ford, II, 60, of Vine Grove, KY passed away Monday, March 1, 2021 at Baptist Health Hardin, Elizabethtown, KY.

Mr. Ford was retired from the United States Army. He was the owner of Smitty’s Food Mart and he was a partner with Mac’s Mowing & Tree Service.

He was preceded in death by his father, Howard S. Ford; his mother, Minta Ford; and a step mother, Renate C. Ford.

Survivors include:
His loving wife, Brenda Ford of Vine Grove, KY; two children, Mack Ford of Wisconsin, Christina Ford of Elizabethtown, KY; fourteen grandchildren; one brother, Mack Ford of Vine Grove, KY; two sisters, Julia Kendall, Margie Ford both of Texas; a host of extended family & friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Friday, March 5, 2021 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Mr. Ford will be held at 6:00 PM, Friday, March 5, 2021 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

A graveside service with military honors for Mr. Ford will be held at 12:30 PM, Thursday, March 11, 2021 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.
