Teresa Carol (Fraley) Cecil

Teresa Carol Cecil, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at Signature of North Hardin in Radcliff, Kentucky, on Friday, October 6, 2023. Born on Friday, March 20, 1953, in Mount Sterling, Kentucky, Teresa was known by many for her gentle spirit, selfless nature, and passionate dedication to her family and community.

Teresa was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Cecil, and her parents, James and Lucille Fraley. The legacy and love she leaves behind will be carried on by her daughter, Ashley Cecil; her sister, Jennifer Brock; her nephew, Curtis Brock; her niece, Lindsey Brock; and a close-knit circle of friends who were like family to her.

Teresa was a lifelong learner, holding a Master's degree in Education. She dedicated many years to shaping young minds in the Hardin County School System before retiring.

In addition to her professional career, Teresa, and her husband, were the owners of the Rainbow Tavern. Beyond her professional endeavors, Teresa was deeply involved in her community. She was a passionate Hospice Volunteer, offering comfort and support to those in their final stages of life. Additionally, she worked tirelessly as a CASA Worker, advocating for the rights and well-being of children in the foster care system. Her unwavering dedication to these causes demonstrated her profound sense of empathy and her unwavering commitment to service.

In her leisure time, Teresa found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing cards and watching the University of Kentucky Wildcats.

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Friday, October 13, 2028 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Mrs. Cecil will be held at 7:00 PM, Friday, October 13, 2023 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY. Cremation will follow the service.
