Tina Marie (Walter) Sweeney

Tina Marie Sweeney, 61, of Brandenburg, KY, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in Louisville, Kentucky, on Saturday, September 9, 2023. Born on Tuesday, June 19, 1962, in Stanley, North Dakota, Tina was a beacon of love, kindness, and selflessness, touching the lives of all who knew her.

Tina was the cherished daughter of Alfred and Judy Walter, and the adored sister of Rick Walter. She grew up in a loving family that instilled in her the values of compassion and care for others, traits that would define her life's work and personal relationships.

Tina graduated with an associate's degree in nursing, a field she was passionate about. She dedicated her professional life to the care of others, working tirelessly as a nurse. Her friendly nature and loving heart made her a favorite among patients and colleagues alike. Her selflessness was evident in her work, and she often went above and beyond to ensure the comfort and well-being of those in her care.

She was a loving wife to her husband, Joe Sweeney. Tina was a devoted mother to her five children, Joey Sweeney, Julia Hackney (Phil), Robby Colasanti, Nicki Baker (Will), Danielle Carroll (Michael). Tina was blessed to be a grandmother to six grandchildren, Alexis, Phillip, D.J., Ashley, Ian, Abigail, and a great-grandmother to six great-grandchildren, Levi, Dean, Lip, Penelope, Sammi, Parker. She cherished her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother, and she loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, showering them with love and affection.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM, Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 5:00 PM, Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.
