Towanda Armstrong Obituary

Apostle Towanda Armstrong, 48, of Radcliff went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, while at Baptist Health Hardin, Elizabethtown, KY.  She was born April 8, 1974, in Chicago, IL to her loving parents Reverend Earnest & Lola Freeman who preceded her in death.

She was called to come to Kentucky where she founded her ministry in the back of her hair salon.  She faithfully led her ministry originally name New Age Outreach Mission for Christ, now known as Powerhouse of Praise & Deliverance for 23 years.  She was a dedicated servant of God and changed every life she touched.

She achieved many things outside of her ministry as well such as opening a homeless shelter and a recreation center for the youth of her community.  Two of her proudest achievements were becoming a licensed counselor and a published author.  However, her most important achievement and role in life being a phenomenal wife and mother.

Apostle Towanda Armstrong is survived by her husband Apostle Jeffrey Armstrong; four siblings Larry Freeman (Paulette), Ernest R. Freeman, Joyce Bunch (Brian), Daniel Freeman (Artina); six children Qishona Freeman (Charles), Hyshun Freeman, Robert Hope Jr., Josiah Hope, Aniyah Hope, Emmanuel Hope; four grandchildren Jamel Taylor, CJ Taylor, Zuri Freeman, Gianna Freeman and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Friday, March 24, 2023, and from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM, Saturday, March 25, 2023, at the Powerhouse of Praise & Deliverance, 1105 Woodland Drive, Elizabethtown, KY.

The Home Going Celebration for Mrs. Armstrong will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, March 25, 2023, at the Powerhouse of Praise & Deliverance, 1105 Woodland Drive, Elizabethtown, KY.

Many have expressed a desire to offer the family floral arrangements, in honor of her wishes we are asking that those who feel moved to offer anything, please donate to her body of work.  Outside of her family, she poured everything she had into Powerhouse of Praise & Deliverance and The R.E.C. (Reaching Every Child) Center ensuring every person in the community had a place to go where they felt heard and accepted.  It is our desire to continue her work and we would love for all those who loved her to be a part of furthering that mission.  Please submit donations by downloading our app Powerhouse of Praise Deliverance Center Inc., via Cash App using $phop1105, or using the following https://ppay.co/kx-fXamnqsY.
