Vella Ruth (Conley) Fatkin

Vella Fatkin, 85, of Elizabethtown, KY passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at her residence.

Mrs. Fatkin was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from Civil Service, Fort Knox, KY. Vella's passion for life was evident in the joy she took in spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence W. “Larry” Fatkin Sr; two sons, Larry Fatkin Jr and Scott Fatkin.

Mrs. Fatkin is survived by three sons, Mark (Debbie) Fatkin, Neil (Natasha) Fatkin, Eldridge Fatkin; one daughter, Dena (Kevin) Kelbaugh; 18 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; four siblings, Mona, Bill, Ivan, Jim; and a host of extended family & friends.

Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 30, 2025 at Chism Family Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Fatkin will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 30, 2025 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
