Wendy Lynn Reed

Wendy Lynn Reed, 58, of Vine Grove, KY, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2026, at University of Louisville Hospital, Louisville, KY.

Ms. Reed served in the United States Coast Guard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Allison Freshwater; a brother, Richard Freshwater; her father-in-law, Billy Reed and mother-in-law, Theresa Reed.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Ray Reed; a son, Duncan Houston Reed; a daughter, Savannah Mae Reed; two brothers, Robert Neal Freshwater, Louis Edward Freshwater; two sisters-in-law,  Doris Reed,  Kristina (Brian) Dibble,  and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 28, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Chism Family Funeral Home.

Funeral service for Mrs. Reed will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home in Vine Grove, KY.

Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.
