William R. Hayes

William R. Hayes, Sr., 87, of Vine Grove, KY passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021 at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dollie Hayes; and a son, David Hayes.

Mr. Hayes was a member of Valley View Baptist Church, Vine Grove, KY where he served as a deacon. He was veteran of the United States Air Force, an avid poker player and enjoyed playing volley ball.

Survivors include:
Four children, Michael Thomas Hayes, Patricia Campbell, William R. Hayes, Jr., Peggy Jean King; six grandchildren, Nathan, Angie, Anthony, Alexis, Elisha, Joseph; ten great grandchildren; and a host of extended family & friends.  

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Tuesday, December 14, 2021 and from 10:00 AM until 12:30 PM, Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Mr. Hayes will be held at 12:30 PM, Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY. Burial with military honors will follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.
