William Anthony Powell Obituary

William Anthony Powell Obituary

William Anthony “Bill” Powell, 70, of Radcliff, KY passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024.

Bill proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army, where he exemplified the values of duty, honor, and courage. His commitment to service did not end with his retirement from the military; he continued to contribute to his community as a dedicated member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). Following his military career, Bill found a second calling on the open road as a truck driver.

Bill was a true Renaissance man, a Jack of all trades whose talents were as varied as they were impressive. His passion for woodworking was evident in the meticulous craftsmanship of his creations. The roar of engines from hot rods echoed his zest for life, and his drawings revealed the depth of his imagination and his ability to capture the beauty in the world around him.

He is survived by his wife, Lorna Powell; five children, Jeremy Graves, Mark Graves, John Logsdon, Katrina Logsdon, Coleen Logsdon; two grandchildren, Thomas Logsdon, Jillian Logsdon; three siblings, Penny Shreiner, Rose Kuntz, Dewey Powell; and a host of extended family & friends.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:30 PM, Friday, January 10, 2025 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.
