Fred "Sonny" Caplinger, 79, of Brandenburg, KY passed away Friday, November 3, 2017 at the Signature of North Hardin.

Mr. Caplinger was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed westerns and had given his life to the Lord. He had also worked at the Galt House Hotel, Louisville, KY for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include:
One son, Chris Caplinger & his wife, Lea Ann of Vine Grove, KY; seven grandchildren, Christy Brooks, Danny Caplinger, Mark Caplinger, Megan Caplinger, Jordan Alexander, Kelsey Alexander, Amanda Rice; four great grandchildren; and one sister, Diane Smoot.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM Monday at Coffey & Chism Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Mr. Caplinger will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, November 6, 2017 at the chapel of Coffey & Chism Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY with Pastor Josh Nagel officiating. Burial will follow in the Cap Anderson Cemetery, Brandenburg, KY.
