Our top priority is and always will be caring for the safety and well being of our families we serve. Because of recommendations made by Governor Andy Beshear, Funeral Directors Association of Kentucky, National Funeral Directors Association and the CDC, all services will be private for immediate family only until further notice. We understand and know that this situation is not ideal, this is why we will continue to strive to make positive changes each and every day. As far as our level of service, nothing has changed. We will continue to personally answer our phones day & night and provide families with the same exceptional care that we are known for.
Below are positive changes we are making to help serve everyone:
- Families who do not wish to make arrangements face to face will be given the option to make arrangements over the internet using a private portal connection.
- With permission from the family, we are going to start live streaming services over the internet. This will give extended family and friends the chance to be a part of the service.
- We are encouraging the public to use our website. You can share cherished memories, pictures, and let families know you are thinking of them during their time of loss. The memories you share will be printed and given to the family. We are also honoring telephone requests for names to be added to the register book. If you would like to send the family a private message, feel free to email us at chismfamilyfuneral@bbtel.com and we will make sure the family receives your message.
- Our staff will be checking their own temperatures daily to make sure there is no sign of fever before entering any residence, facility or healthcare facility.
- Even though our funeral home is exceptionally clean, we are taking the extra steps to make sure our facility is staying properly disinfected.
