Losing a family member is tough, although Chism Family Funeral Home goes above and beyond to provide compassionate service, sympathetic care along with amazing top notch services during a very difficult time. In many instances you go to a funeral home in your community, we have used this funeral home outside of our community because of the level of support and care provided. In some instances over an hour away. I have not only had a good experience once, I've received a wonderful experience with my grandmother in law, mother, mother in law, father in law, and niece but also other close friends and coworkers. The services provided far exceeded our expectations that we did not even realize we had during such a hard time. The level of care and professionalism is by far the best I have experienced. There is no other place I would want to honor a loved one. James Chism and staff treat all as their own family. This is no ordinary funeral home, it is an extraordinary family funeral home that makes an impact on the families inside and outside of the community.

I have attended two funerals for family members at Chism Family Funeral Home. Each time, the staff were professional and caring. As I live out of state, it was a challenge, but James Chism and staff helped us through the hurdles and provided valuable resources. As my husband was a veteran, he had military honors and I was guided through all the proper military procedures. Many thanks.

We have said our Goodbye to 2 family members on two different occasions and both times you and your staff made it into a good remembering experience. Thank You.

This funeral home is top notch, it's never a place you want to have to walk into but from the moment we did James took such great care of me when my husband passed away. He accommodated us in every way. He was so warm and calming. I felt my husband was shown the utmost respect and was truly celebrated as a veteran. I can't enough good things about this business. They really do treat you like family.

I would like to truly thank James Chism and Staff for their professionalism, dedication to families, patience, and genuine loving support given to my Family during the passing of my mother Mrs. Annie Carlisle. James and Amanda were so kind and thoughtful during the recent passing of our daughter. They went way above that which one would normally expect during this time of grief to comfort and console our family, including our two small grandchildren (ages 7 & 8) and made

A year ago we walked in your doors with emptiness inside our hearts. Losing Mom was one of hardest days of lives June 15th 2019! Now a year later, we reached out because Dad passed away suddenly June 17th, 2020. You both are true blessings in our lives. In our darkest hours, you provided love, compassion, and understanding. From the moment I called to come in to make arrangements for my daughter, I have felt a deep sense of compassion from the entire staff/family. From extending deadlines to "I can take care of that" to responding to my questions via text, I know my daughter was (is) an utmost priority. The day of her funeral, James was so accommodating. I knew there was supposed to be a timeline, but we never felt it. I truly recommend this family because they are not only professionals, but are caring. This website has a place you can go for grief help.

James was absolutely amazing throughout the entire process of my mother's visitation and funeral. I can't count how many times he said "I'll take care of it" and he did it with compassion and professionalism. I truly appreciate everything that was done for me and my family.
